Oasification is a process that helps fight desertification in dry regions by improving soil quality and plant growth. It is not well-known compared to desertification, but it has positive effects on the environment. Different types of oasification processes, like planting trees and creating farmland, can restore degraded land and make it better for people and nature. Research on oasification in Northwest China shows progress, but more attention is needed in dry areas. A new science framework is suggested to address environmental issues in these regions.
