Anthropogenic activities drive significant growth in ecosystem services in Chinese wetland.
Wetlands in Nansi Lake, China, provide important services for people. A study looked at how these services changed over 30 years. They found that the value of these services increased from 1985 to 2017, mainly due to human activities like coal mining and farming. The altered wetlands saw a big increase in value, while natural wetlands had a more varied change. This research helps us understand how human actions affect wetland ecosystems and can help us make better decisions to protect and use these resources wisely.
