This article examines how small and poor farmers in India can improve their income and the environment by switching to organic farming methods instead of using expensive chemicals and fertilizers. It shows that education is really important for farmers to learn organic techniques. Farmers choose organic farming mostly for money and environmental reasons. Organic farming not only makes more profit but also helps the environment in other ways that are not always obvious.
