The study looked at how the stress in a wide steel box girder cable-stayed bridge changes during construction. They found that the stress levels in different parts of the bridge kept increasing as construction progressed. Between 11:00 and 15:00, the stress at various points in the bridge increased, with the top experiencing compressive stress and the bottom experiencing tensile stress.
