Coastal areas face challenges from flooding and erosion, worsened by rising sea levels. A new model, the CS-model, was created to predict long-term beach and dune changes. It considers processes like dune erosion, beach-bar exchange, and sea level rise. The model was tested at two sites, showing that dune erosion plays a big role in shaping beaches over time.
