Sustainability indicators are important in assessing environmental impacts, but there are issues with how they are chosen and managed. A new model called G-SINDS was developed to improve this process. It has six phases and three key elements to help create better sustainability indicator systems for environmental assessments. This model focuses on the entire life cycle of indicators and uses knowledge management techniques to enhance the assessment process.
