Toxic Heavy Metals Found in Leafy Vegetables Near Nigerian Petrochemical Plant
The study looked at heavy metal levels in leafy vegetables near a refinery in Nigeria. Lead, cadmium, nickel, and chromium were measured in common vegetables. Results showed that chromium levels were higher than recommended in some samples, but lead, cadmium, and nickel were within safe limits. The study found that the risk of heavy metal toxicity from eating these vegetables is low.
