Intercropping maize with guar plants in different patterns was studied to see how it affects plant growth and yield. The pattern where maize was planted in rows significantly increased maize plant height. Another pattern resulted in the highest grain yield for maize. Guar plants grew taller and had more leaves when intercropped with maize. The best pattern for land use efficiency was identified. Intercropping guar with maize was more profitable than growing maize alone, with one specific pattern being the most profitable.
