Food security is a big issue in Nigeria due to a growing population relying on imported food. Women play a crucial role in food security, but face challenges like insecure land tenure and lack of resources. Food sovereignty can help empower women in the food system. The study used the diffusion theory to explore this idea. The main findings suggest that promoting food sovereignty can enhance women's contributions to food security in Nigeria.
