Balanced nutrient application boosts rice and wheat yields in Himalayas farmers.
A study in the Kumaon hills found that using the right mix of nutrients in rice and wheat crops led to higher yields. Applying nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium along with sulfur resulted in the best grain yields. This method also increased production efficiency and net returns compared to farmers' usual practices. The soil after harvesting showed higher levels of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium with the recommended nutrient application.
