Automated Vehicles Set to Transform Long-Distance Leisure Travel Preferences.
Automated vehicles (AVs) are becoming more common in transportation. A study in the Netherlands looked at how AVs might change how people travel. They asked 663 people about their preferences for different types of trips and distances. The results showed that for short commutes, people prefer regular cars or public transportation over AVs. But for longer leisure trips, people are more likely to choose AVs. This suggests that AVs could change how we travel in the future, especially for longer trips.
