Indonesia's textile industry can save energy by focusing on structural factors
In Indonesia, a study analyzed how efficiently the textile industry uses energy. By looking at factors like the type of products made and the amount of energy used, the research found that from 2006 to 2014, energy use in this sector decreased. However, this drop was mainly due to changes in the industry's structure (like different types of fabrics produced) rather than the sector using less energy per unit of output. This suggests that to save energy in the textile industry, it's vital to consider both the kinds of products being made and how efficiently energy is used.
