Improving tourist satisfaction in Gyeongju by focusing on visitor experience.
The study looked at what factors affect satisfaction and dissatisfaction of tourists visiting Gyeongju using Herzberg's two-factor theory. They found that tourist satisfaction is more related to the expressive aspects of their visit, while dissatisfaction is more related to the instrumental aspects. This means that meeting tourists' visit goals is more important for satisfaction and managing dissatisfaction than improving the tourism environment or services. The study used surveys at Bulguksa Temple and found that improving tourists' visit purposes is key to both satisfaction and dissatisfaction management in Gyeongju.
