Electric Chiller Outperforms Steam Absorption Chiller in District Cooling Plant
The study compared the performance of two types of chillers, Electric Chiller (EC) and Steam Absorption Chiller (SAC), at a cooling plant. They used historical data to calculate the Coefficient of Performance (COP) for both chillers. The COP for the electric chiller ranged from 3.12 to 7.11, while the COP for the steam absorption chiller ranged from 1.07 to 1.31.
