Knowledge management in sustainability is an important but underexplored area. A review of existing literature identified gaps for future research. Opportunities include studying sustainability in small businesses, universities' role in generating knowledge, and integrating knowledge management into productive systems. Action research is underutilized, and there is a lack of quantitative studies. Developing models and tools for information sharing is a common objective. This review suggests that focusing on these areas can advance knowledge management for sustainability.
