Floods are a major problem, especially in Brisbane, Queensland. To better understand and predict floods, scientists studied the Brisbane River area. They looked at data from 26 river stations over 20 to 91 years. By analyzing different models, they found that the Log Pearson type III model is the best for predicting floods in this region.
