Maximizing Profit: Maize and Soybean Intercropping Yields Higher Returns
The study looked at different ways of growing maize and soybeans together to see which was most profitable. They tested two tillage methods and six crop arrangements in Nepal. They found that the way the crops were planted affected their yield and profit. Planting maize and soybeans separately gave higher yields than planting them together. Planting them in a 1:1 ratio for maize and 2:2 ratio for soybeans gave the best yields. Zero tillage was more profitable than conventional tillage. Planting soybeans between maize rows under zero tillage gave the highest productivity and profit.
