A new model called DUBEVEG was used to study how sand dunes form on a man-made beach called the Sand Motor. The model didn't accurately predict the dune patterns seen in real life. It showed rows of dunes that weren't there, and vegetation in different places. This means the model needs adjustments to better match what's happening on the Sand Motor.
