New damage model for Niger Delta oil wells improves production efficiency!
The researchers evaluated four formation damage models for oil reservoirs in the Niger Delta. They compared these models to a standard skin model using data from five locations. The Frick & Economides model underestimated damage, while Behr & Raflee, Ozkan, and Furui et al models showed better results. The Furui et al model was found to be the most suitable, with an average Flow Efficiency of 69.40%, an average skin pressure drop of 193.98 psi, and an average damage factor of 0.3.
