An electromagnetic 2-speed gearbox (EM-2SGB) was developed to reduce transmission losses in electric vehicles (EVs) from 15% to 5%. This gearbox improves transmission shift quality and acceleration time, allowing the vehicle to reach 35 km/h on a 15% road gradient in just 250 ms. The EM-2SGB is lighter, more compact, and more energy efficient, leading to a 25% increase in overall vehicle performance.
