China's Renewable Energy Transition Faces Uncertain Future, Risking Disruptions
The article discusses how renewable energy development in China faces uncertainties, leading to issues like renewables curtailment. To address this, a new planning model was created to consider uncertainties in power demand and renewable energy costs. By using this model, China's wind, solar, and biomass power development from 2016 to 2030 was studied, highlighting both advantages and drawbacks of the new approach.
