Urban green spaces have little impact on microclimate in hot arid cities.
Urban green spaces and urban layout can impact the local climate in hot arid areas. A study looked at how both factors affect the microclimate in two different neighborhoods. Despite similar temperatures in both areas, the reasons behind these conditions varied greatly. This shows that when studying how the built environment affects the climate, we need to consider multiple factors together, like green spaces and urban design, to fully understand their complex relationship.
