Survey reveals shocking attitudes towards tax evasion in England
The goal of the study was to see how serious people in England consider different unethical acts, like tax evasion and bribery. Researchers asked 485 students and faculty at the University of Exeter to rate the seriousness of various actions on a scale from 1 to 10. The results showed that paying cash to avoid taxes was seen as the least serious, while accepting a bribe was seen as the most serious. Older people tended to view these actions as more serious than younger people, with the 30-49 age group being particularly against paying cash to avoid taxes.
