The study analyzed nitrogen and phosphorus pollution from agriculture in the Hanfeng Lake Basin. They found that fertilizer use and livestock farming are the main sources of pollution. The highest pollution levels were in the Nanhe Basin, while the area around Hanfeng Lake had the lowest. Key control areas were identified in Dunhao, Tieqiao, and Baiqiao. The researchers divided the counties into four types of pollution areas based on their findings.
