Increased Rainfall Duration Reduces Effectiveness of Rain Gardens in Reducing Urban Runoff.
Urban waterlogging and pollution from urban areas are increasing due to factors like rainfall and layout design. A study analyzed how different rainfall durations and rain garden layouts affect runoff and pollution. Results showed that longer rainfall and larger rain gardens reduce runoff and pollution less. Also, more frequent rainfall and larger rain gardens decrease the reduction effects. The study found that rainfall duration and rain garden size have a big impact on reducing runoff and pollution.
