Social Sustainability Evolves to Prioritize Humanity, Transforming Quality of Life
In this research, scientists wanted to understand social sustainability better. They used a method called dynamic semantic network analysis to study how the idea of social sustainability has changed over time in academic literature. They found that the concept of social sustainability has evolved by focusing on community and individual well-being, not just the environment. They also discovered that social sustainability emphasizes improving society's quality of life by considering human factors and societal impacts in product and service supply chains. Overall, this study shows that social sustainability has developed to include different aspects of human values in society that we should uphold.
