High Levels of Toxic Heavy Metals Found in Soil of Yutian County
The researchers analyzed soil samples from Yutian County, China to understand how heavy metals are distributed in the area. They used statistical analysis and mapping technology to study factors influencing the distribution. Results showed that some soil samples had high levels of arsenic, while other metals like cadmium and lead had specific patterns of distribution. The heavy metal content in the soil was found to decrease from the center of the study area outwards. Different factors like soil type and land use affected the distribution of heavy metals. Overall, the study revealed a spatial correlation in the distribution of heavy metals in the soil of Yutian County.
