Endemic herbs thriving in regenerated forest at Cameron Highlands altitudes.
The researchers studied the herbs at different altitudes in a forest in Cameron Highlands, Pahang. They found a total of 17 herb species, with some being unique to the area. The herbs were slightly diverse across the elevations, with some species being more common than others. Sonerila rudis was the most common species found at all altitudes. The study showed that the forest is still recovering from past disturbances like illegal logging, but is home to a variety of herb species.
