A new method for comparing two treatments based on likelihood ratios was developed using phi-divergence measures. The method outperformed traditional tests like likelihood ratio and Pearson's chi-square in terms of power while maintaining accurate significance levels. The new test showed better performance in most scenarios, with the Wilcoxon test not performing as well as the others.
