Changing climate in Inner Mongolia impacting grassland vegetation growth patterns.
The study looked at how vegetation in different types of grasslands in Inner Mongolia changed from 1982 to 2011 in response to climate variations. They found that the amount of vegetation increased in some areas during spring, but decreased in others during other seasons. Warmer spring temperatures helped plants grow better in most grasslands, but not in the desert areas. Rainfall was important for vegetation growth, especially in areas with more vegetation cover. Overall, the study showed that temperature and rainfall affect vegetation differently in different types of grasslands, and more research is needed to understand these relationships better.
