Public sector in Brazil can improve project spending transparency and efficiency.
The article compares how project portfolio management is done in public and private sectors in Brazil. They studied eight organizations and found that both sectors aim for strategic alignment using similar tools. The public sector has better process documentation but lower risk awareness compared to the private sector. Selection and prioritization criteria differ between the two sectors, reflecting their different strategic goals. The study suggests that the public sector in Brazil could improve project spending transparency and cost allocation by learning from private sector practices.
