A new language model was created to improve speech recognition by analyzing words in a structured way. This model uses hidden hierarchical structure to understand word history better, allowing it to recognize words more accurately even when they are far apart in a sentence. Tests on real speech data showed that this new model reduced confusion and mistakes compared to the old models.
