The study compares two methods in physics and finds that one method, called kt{k}_{t}kt​-factorization, supports the choice of a key scale better than the other method, collinear factorization. It also shows that collinear factorization has an uncertainty in this scale choice that doesn't go away with more data. This uncertainty is not present in kt{k}_{t}kt​-factorization.
