Electrical Construction Industry Sees 2% Productivity Decline Over 8 Years
The article analyzes the efficiency and productivity changes in the electrical construction industry using DEA and Malmquist productivity index models. The study focused on 52 companies in this industry from 2010 to 2017. The findings show that companies can improve efficiency by adjusting their size. Overall, productivity in the industry decreased by about 2% during the analysis period. Some companies saw a 13% increase in productivity, while others experienced a 30% decrease. Technological advancements, innovative production methods, and new management techniques are crucial for industry development. However, the study has limitations due to the small sample size and the difficulty in generalizing the results.
