Feeding African Catfish More Frequently Boosts Growth and Nutrition Levels
Feeding African catfish fry and fingerlings more times per day leads to better growth and nutrient utilization. Fry fed five or six times a day and fingerlings fed three or four meals per day showed the best growth. More feedings increased crude protein and fat content in the fish. However, fingerlings' survival decreased when fed more than three meals per day. Dividing the daily ration into three portions for fingerlings is best for growth and survival.
