No-till farming boosts soil health and corn yield in Lopburi province.
The study looked at how different ways of tilling soil affect the amount of carbon stored in the soil and the yield of corn crops in Lopburi province. They tested four methods of tilling the soil and found that not tilling the soil had the most carbon stored in it. Plowing the soil and shoveling it once or twice also stored a good amount of carbon. The researchers also found that the type of tilling affected the amount of biomass and carbon in the corn plants, with plowing the soil once having the highest amounts.
