Innovation relies on using knowledge effectively. This study looks at how open innovation and knowledge management affect dual innovation. The research found that both open innovation and knowledge management help with dual innovation. Inward-focused open innovation is better for making improvements, while outward-focused open innovation is better for exploring new ideas. Knowledge management helps connect open innovation and dual innovation.
