Farmers in Hawela Tula, South Ethiopia, prefer using chemical fertilizers over compost for soil fertility improvement. They lack knowledge and training on compost usage, leading to less attention towards it. However, compost is better for soil health and crop yield. Farmers need to be educated about the benefits of compost compared to chemical fertilizers.
