Researchers developed new driving cycles for electric vehicles using real driving data to better reflect actual driving behavior. They analyzed over 60,000 trips to create three BEV driving cycles based on road types and acceleration capacities. The cycles were constructed using Markov chain theory and were compared to existing cycles in the literature for validation.
