Optimizing Nitrogen Fertilizer Rates Boosts Rice Grain Production Efficiency.
The study looked at how different amounts of nitrogen fertilizer affect the growth of rice plants and the efficiency of grain production. They found that higher nitrogen levels helped the plants absorb more nitrogen and increase nitrogen content. Nitrogen fertilizer also boosted the accumulation of phosphorus and potassium in the grains. However, too much nitrogen in the sheath leaf and stem at later stages negatively impacted grain production efficiency. The distribution of nitrogen in the ear was crucial for high production efficiency. Overall, the research suggests that adjusting nitrogen fertilizer levels based on growth stages can reduce waste and pollution while still supporting healthy rice growth.
