They found that higher temperatures make planes emit more carbon monoxide, hydrocarbons, and sulfur dioxide, but less nitrogen oxides. Higher air pressure reduces all emissions, while wind speed affects emissions in a U-shaped pattern. By 2025, with better weather conditions, there could be less pollution from airplanes landing, leading to environmental benefits.
