Firm-Level Resources Key to Rapid International Growth for Emerging SMEs.
Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) play a crucial role in economies worldwide. A study focused on SMEs in India found that having a dedicated marketing team, making regular visits to international markets, and exporting through multinational companies can speed up the process of entering the global market. Additionally, CEOs with higher education, certain types of ownership, and using e-commerce for international entry can lead to a higher level of internationalization for these SMEs. The study showed that entering the international market early significantly boosts the international success of Indian SMEs.
