A spillway helps control water flow from a dam. Side weirs are structures that manage water levels in canals. A study tested different piano key weirs with varying heights. We found that weirs with heights of 15cm and 20cm had the best water flow control. These weirs can release more water than other types of weirs, like linear or triangular ones.
