Revolutionizing Agriculture: Low-Cost Sensor Prevents Crop Water Stress and Waste
A low-cost capacitive soil moisture sensor was calibrated and validated for an automated soil moisture monitoring system. The sensor's accuracy was compared to a gravimetric method and a well-established sensor, showing promising results. The developed calibration function supports the sensor's potential use in minimizing soil moisture stress or excess water application.
