New Drip Emitters Revolutionize Irrigation Efficiency, Prevent Clogging Issues
Selecting the right drip emitters is crucial for drip irrigation systems to work well. This study tested eight types of emitters with high-sand water to see how well they resist clogging. They found that emitters with small discharge did best at preventing clogs. Emitters with high cross-section velocity, not just high water flow, were the most effective. The size and shape of the emitters made a big difference in how well they resisted clogs. Higher velocity in the emitters led to less clogging material building up inside. This research helps in choosing emitters that are less likely to clog and improve the efficiency of drip irrigation systems.
