Revolutionary System Turns Handwashing Greywater into Clean Drinking Water and Electricity
A system combining a wetland microbial fuel cell and sand filter was created to clean and recycle handwashing greywater. The system removed bacteria and organic material effectively, meeting drinking water standards. It also generated power from the greywater. The technology has potential for reusing water and producing electricity. Future research will focus on improving power generation and maintenance of the system.
