Drought devastates livelihoods in Vietnam's Krongno district, urgent action needed
A study assessed how vulnerable people's livelihoods were to drought in Krong No district, Dak Nong province, in 2015-2016. They used a Livelihood Vulnerability Index to measure the impact. The results showed that overall vulnerability was at a medium level in the district. The most vulnerable aspects were water and livelihood strategies, while food, drought, social networks, health, and sociodemographic profiles were less affected. The communes of Quang Phu and Nam N'dir were identified as needing support.
