New method ranks efficient and inefficient units with same efficiency measure.
The article discusses a method called Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) used to measure how well different decision-making units (DMUs) perform. Sometimes, multiple DMUs have the same level of efficiency. The article introduces new ways to rank these DMUs based on their contributions to the group and the overall production system. This results in two ranking indices for both inefficient and efficient DMUs. The proposed methods are compared to existing ones in the field using numerical examples and real-life data.
