Ammonia Gas Fertilizer Boosts Wheat and Maize Yields on Calcareous Soil
The study tested two types of nitrogen fertilizers on wheat and maize crops in calcareous soil to see which one was more effective. They found that using ammonia gas fertilizer led to higher yields and better soil fertility compared to ammonium nitrate. The crops treated with ammonia gas had heavier grains, higher yields, and more nutrients like nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium. Additionally, using ammonia gas fertilizer resulted in higher profits for farmers compared to using ammonium nitrate. Overall, the study showed that ammonia gas fertilizer was more efficient and beneficial for growing wheat and maize crops in calcareous soil conditions.
