The article explores how the flexibility of information systems impacts their strategic implementation in a Chinese multinational State-owned Enterprise. The researchers conducted 41 interviews in 7 company branches in China to understand this relationship. They found that information systems flexibility influences information systems strategy implementation in five main ways. This study sheds light on how new technologies like blockchain and Internet of Things are changing how businesses use information technology.
